Building Fund Raffle Committee

I would like to thank the many people who helped make the July 5K another huge success.

The kitchen patrol of Jesse Poole, Ray Ciarrocchi, Tom Swauger and Larry Pratt provided their usual excellent spread. The floor crew consisted of Linda Smith, Gary Steen, Bruce Mello, Dwight Hanawalt, Lisa Istvan, Donna Hall, Doris Nowottnick, Wayne Becraft, Ken Rubin and Rory Dickens.

As you can see, it take quite a few volunteers working together to handle an affair of the magnitude. Congratulations to the winners and thanks to all the 5K participants.

Please remember to pay early for your November 8th drawing. The first of ten weekly drawings begin August 24th.

For the safety of all members, their guest and the employees of Bowie Elks, the House Committee is asking that all members and their guest entering the Lodge either enter through the Lounge front door using your card key to enter or the hall front doors when coming for an event like Friday Night Dinner. Thirsty Thursdays

2 for 1 drinks will be served in the lounge on Thursdays between 4pm and 7pm (only).
This only includes – Draft beer, bottle beer, wine, and all drinks.

Book Worms Welcome
By now you all know we were blessed with a large donation of books.   I will be starting a "borrow" bookcase in the game room.   Please feel free to borrow and read as many books as you like and when you're done please bring them back so others can enjoy them.   If you have any books you want to donate, please let me know.   I would like to thank Al Stanziale for the donation of the bookshelf.
